Sung Mass of Requiem for Pope Benedict XVI
As part of the London Eucharistic Octave, there will be a Sung Mass of Requiem for the repose of the soul of Pope Benedict XVI. The Mass will be followed by a talk entitled “Benedict’s Devotion to the Eucharist” by Prof. Jacob Phillips, Professor of Systematic Theology at St Mary’s University, and translator of Last Testament: In His Own Words, Pope Benedict’s final book. How do you pray with images? Which ones speak to you? Do any religious images bring you closer or further from God? Fr. Justin Claravall SJ, studying in the School of Traditional Arts will speak about how religious images, or icons, affect our communion with God, the saints, and our participation in communities. Wine and soft drinks available from 6:30pm, talk starts at 7pm. Please bring somthing to eat and share.
