If you're over 40 and looking for Christian community, spiritual growth, or meaningful relationships with people your own age, options can feel limited, especially if you're single, new to an area, or returning to faith. Tersia's Primetime groups fill that gap, giving you a place to find events, deepen your faith, and meet other Christians in your stage of life.

Advanced Course in Ancient Byzantine Iconography
Join us for an intensive advanced course in Ancient Byzantine Iconography, designed for students who have already written at least three icons using the Prosopon technique. Under the guidance of Rev. Nikita Andrejev, participants will paint the Myrrhbearer Women at the Tomb, developing advanced techniques including garment highlighting, painting smaller figures and faces, and gorki, the distinctive many-tiered mountains of Byzantine iconography. The Christian Heritage Centre Choose the five-day course beginning 14 October, or arrive on 12 October for the seven-day option, which includes drawing and gilding with Prosopon instructor Sharon Seager. Each full day begins with Morning Prayer at 8:45am followed by classes from 9am, combining the practical craft of icon writing with its theological and spiritual meaning.

Alpha Course 2026

That's Alpha - and you are invited. Alpha is an opportunity to explore the fundamentals of Christian faith in a relaxed and welcoming environment. It is suitable for Catholics wanting to renew their faith, non - Catholics who want to find out about the Christian faith, those of any faith or none.
Communicating the Faith with Jack Valero
An event for Young Catholics at 62 Park Place, where we will be taught how to effectively communicate the faith. Jack Valero is the Head of Communications for Opus Dei and is an expert on communicating to matters of the faith. From the news, to documentary teams, Jack is a literal professional. So, come and join us, and maybe bring a friend!
Discover God in the Everyday: 5-Week Ignatian Examen Course
Join us for a 5-week journey to deepen your daily prayer routine and recognise God's presence in every part of your everyday life. We start with an introductory "Come & See" session, giving you the chance to experience the practice before deciding to commit to the remaining four weeks. Over the course, you will learn a form of prayer to help you find God in daily life, develop a daily habit of praying, learn to notice God in unexpected places, and connect your everyday experiences to life's greater purpose, all while sharing reflections within a supportive small group. To participate, you will need to attend five weekly 1-hour group sessions, dedicating 15 minutes of private daily prayer, and bringing an open heart for honest group sharing. We also ask participants to complete two brief surveys to help track the course’s impact. Come to the first session to try it out and grow together in faith!

Life after 40 brings its own transitions: career changes, kids leaving home, new cities, divorce, rediscovering faith, or simply wanting deeper friendships and spiritual community. Many churches focus their energy on youth and young adults, leaving over-40s Christians without a clear pathway. Tersia's Primetime groups are built for you: worship gatherings, prayer groups, Bible studies, socials, and communities designed for Christians who are past the 'young adult' stage but still want genuine connection, spiritual depth, and belonging. And if you're single, Tersia is where you can meet other Christians your age naturally, through real community rather than dating apps.
