About This Event
In the political and cultural turmoil of early 20th century Japan, Dr Takashi Nagai's intellectual and spiritual journey is guided by his restless heart and lively reason. Through the encounter with Midori Moriyama and her discreet witness of authentic faith, Takashi will find a home in the Catholic community of Nagasaki, forged by centuries of persecutions, and the grace to embrace sacrifice in the midst of the atomic wasteland. The evening begins at 7 PM in Arrupe Hall with a talk by Maria and Martin Gross, members of the "Friends of Takashi and Midori Nagai" committee, who promote their Cause of Beatification. After the talk, a painting by artist Ruben Ferreira and panels from an exhibition on their lives will be on display, available to view through the end of September.
