The Bible Timeline Course: Session 7

Catholic

About This Event

This session covers the Return from Exile and the Maccabean Revolt, where hope and courage begin to rise again. We encourage you to do the pre-read attached in the files section to get the most out of the session. We’ll follow the rebuilding of Jerusalem under leaders like Ezra and Nehemiah, and then the heroic stand of the Maccabees who fight to restore faith and worship in Israel. Represented in Yellow and Orange, these periods from 538BC - AD1 depict Judah returning home to brighter days and Fire in the oil lamps in the purified Temple respectively. They reveal renewal and resilience — the light of faith shining again after darkness. The course is led by Mauro Iannicelli from Come and See, a UK-based Catholic ministry helping thousands rediscover the beauty of Scripture and their faith. More than 1,000 people are currently taking part in the same course this year, journeying together through the story of salvation. Come ready to encounter the God who still calls us today, just as He called Abraham. Our weekly events follow the same schedule: 🕖 7:00 PM – Adoration 🍪 7:40 PM – Tea & biscuits (last entrance – no exceptions) 📘 8:00 PM – Talk on Spirituality 🍻 9:15 PM – Pub!
