During Lent, we are invited to deepen our faith and renew our hope as a steady trust in God’s promises. This evening offers a chance to pause, reflect, and be encouraged together. Canon Stewart Foster, a priest of the Diocese of Brentwood, diocesan archivist, historian, and published author, will share a thoughtful and uplifting talk on the Christian virtue of hope. He will explore how hope sustains us through uncertainty, struggle, and waiting, and how it can strengthen both our Lenten journey and our wider life of faith. The evening will include time for fellowship and refreshments, with space to chat, reflect, and connect with others in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. All are warmly welcome, and you are very welcome to bring along a friend or family member who might appreciate a word of encouragement. “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” - Romans 15:13
