When we pray the Rosary our mind is 'bound' to the prayer, wrapped in the sweet bindings of the Hail Mary. This willing act of austerity is well suited to the spirit of Lent. This Day of Reflection will explore how concentration becomes a spiritual act. Through art, discussion and guided meditation, we will reflect on 'the Binding of Isaac' as an ancient guide for self-offering. Practical techniques on how to maintain focus in prayer will be given. Why Attend? To enrich your experience of Lent, and lead to a more spiritually fruitful Easter season - and to nurture the capacity for deep concentration in prayer. There will be breaks, feel free to bring your own food. The retreat is led by Alexander Muir CTS Author and member of Southwark's Agency for Evangelisation and Catechesis and Fr Matthew Jarvis OP Prior of St Dominic's - Rosary Shrine
