Join us for a moving one-woman performance based on the diaries and letters of Etty Hillesum, the young Dutch Jewish writer whose remarkable faith, hope, and interior freedom shone through the darkness of the Holocaust. Adapted and performed by Susan Stein, Etty brings her powerful words to life, inviting us into the story of a woman whose compassion, courage, and search for God continue to inspire people around the world. There are two opportunities to see the play: Saturday, August 1st at 5:00pm in the Sacred Heart Church Lounge, Wimbledon, and Sunday, August 2nd at 5:00pm at St Benet’s Chaplaincy, Bethnal Green. Whether you're already familiar with Etty's writings or discovering her for the first time, this promises to be a thought-provoking and deeply human evening exploring suffering, love, forgiveness, and the resilience of the human spirit. We suggest a donation of £10 for each performance to support the event.
