About This Event

Theme: Love seeking understanding: Faith In the Gospels, Jesus celebrates faith as something amazing—but it's not just believing without evidence or blindly following rules. The Bible presents faith as something deeper: a relationship of trust and faithfulness that mirrors God's own character, with Jesus at the very centre as both the perfect example and the one who perfects our faith. Join Stuart Jesson, Theology Lead at the London Jesuit Centre, to explore what it truly means to understand Jesus as the perfecter of faith. 'Philosophy, Theology & Scripture'. An evening exploring the scriptures, often with the help of a biblical scholar or specialist. From 6.30pm. We provide wine and soft drinks but please bring something to eat and share. MAGIS-metro is a weekly event for young adults, 18 to 35, offered by Jesuit Young Adult Ministries. It follows a monthly pattern: 1st Thursday - Soup & Spirituality; 2nd Thursday - Church in the Modern World; 3rd Thursday - Film & Pizza; 4th Thursday - Philosophy, Theology & Scripture; 5th Thursday (if and when..) - Board Games!
