MAGIS-metro - Love Seeking Understanding: Mystery

About This Event

Join Dr Stuart Jesson, Theology Lead at the London Jesuit Centre, for a session exploring the Christian idea that God is a mystery. We'll look at what it means to say we can know God exists but not fully understand what God is. Drawing on the insights of theologians like Thomas Aquinas and Karl Rahner, we'll discuss the idea of life with God not as a puzzle to be solved, but as a journey into a great mystery. We'll also explore different kinds of knowledge and consider how these fundamental ideas relate to our own lives. MAGIS-metro is a weekly event for young adults, 18 to 35, offered by Jesuit Young Adult Ministries. It follows a monthly pattern: 1st Thursday - Soup & Spirituality; 2nd Thursday - Church in the Modern World; 3rd Thursday - Film & Pizza; 4th Thursday - Philosophy, Theology & Scripture; 5th Thursday (if and when..) - Board Games!
