MAGIS-metro: How much does the Church have (and what do we do with it)
About This Event
Join Br Stephen Power SJ, Secretary to the Provincial Superior of the British Jesuits, who worked as Treasurer of the Jesuits in Britain for 10 years. In this session, he will introduce the essentials of church finance. Discover how donations are managed and resources allocated to support the mission and life of the Church. 'Church in the Modern World': informal and relaxed presentations & discussions around a contemporary issue or theme. Food and refreshments available from 6.30pm in the Cana room with presentations beginning at around 7.10pm. It runs until 8.45pm. MAGIS-metro is a weekly event for young adults, 18 to 35, offered by Jesuit Young Adult Ministries. It follows a monthly pattern: 1st Thursday - Soup & Spirituality; 2nd Thursday - Church in the Modern World; 3rd Thursday - Film & Pizza; 4th Thursday - Philosophy, Theology & Scripture; 5th Thursday (if and when..) - Board Games!
