Encounter Pentecost

About Our Community

Encounter Pentecost is a large-scale Catholic event hosted at St George’s Cathedral, Southwark, bringing together individuals, parishes, and communities from across the diocese. Centred on the feast of Pentecost, it creates space for people to encounter the Holy Spirit through praise and worship, talks, testimonies, prayer ministry, and the sacraments. The day combines liturgy, formation, and community, with Adoration, Confession, workshops, and a closing Mass, alongside food, stalls, and spaces to connect. Open to everyone, from those deeply involved in the Church to those simply curious, it’s designed as a shared moment of renewal, mission, and unity across the wider Catholic community.
