Externally Published Standards Against Child Sexual Abuse & Exploitation (CSAE)

Tersia is committed to the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection. We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and require all users, staff, and partners to comply with these standards and all applicable laws.
1. Zero-Tolerance Policy
Tersia prohibits any form of child sexual abuse, exploitation, grooming, or related harmful conduct on our platform. Any user, staff member, or partner found to be engaging in, facilitating, or failing to report such conduct will be subject to immediate removal and reported to the relevant authorities.
2. Prevention & Monitoring
- User Verification: We require all users to be at least 18 years old and take steps to verify identity where appropriate.
- Content Moderation: All user-generated content is subject to proactive and reactive moderation using both automated and human review.
- Staff Training: All staff and volunteers receive regular training on safeguarding, CSAE prevention, and reporting obligations.
- Policy Review: Our CSAE standards and procedures are reviewed at least annually and updated as required by law or best practice.
3. Reporting & Response
- Mandatory Reporting: All suspected or confirmed cases of CSAE are reported to the relevant authorities in accordance with UK law and international standards.
- How to Report: If you become aware of any content or behavior that may constitute CSAE, report it immediately to our safeguarding team at support@tersia.com. Reports can be made anonymously and will be handled with the utmost seriousness and confidentiality.
- Immediate Action: We will immediately suspend accounts and remove content pending investigation where CSAE is suspected.
- Support for Victims: We provide information and support to victims and cooperate fully with law enforcement and child protection agencies.
4. Legal Compliance
- Applicable Law: Tersia complies with all applicable child protection and data retention laws, including the UK Children Act 1989, the Sexual Offences Act 2003, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Data Retention: Where required by law, certain data may be retained and shared with law enforcement or safeguarding authorities.
- Jurisdiction: These standards apply to all users, staff, and partners regardless of location.
5. Enforcement & Accountability
- Sanctions: Breaches of these standards will result in immediate suspension or termination of access, and may result in criminal prosecution.
- Transparency: Tersia will publish annual summaries of safeguarding actions taken, while protecting the privacy of victims and reporters.
- Continuous Improvement: We welcome feedback and regularly consult with safeguarding experts to improve our standards.
