Franciscan Parish BBQ

About This Event

The Franciscan Parish BBQ on 5th July will feature a variety of food stalls, including burgers, Indian, Filipino, Ghanian and Nigerian cuisine. There will also be music, a tombola, fairground games, an ice cream van, a bouncy castle, glitter face painting, a Pimm's and beer tent, soft drinks, tea, and cakes. The event begins at 12:00 noon (following the 10:30 Mass). Please note: - Tickets: Early bird tickets, adults £5, child £3, family £20 (2 adults up to 4 children). Tickets on the day- adults £6, child £4, family £22. - Tombola Donations: We would be grateful for donations of new unused goods, bottles, sweets, toiletries, which can be left in boxes at the back of the church. Please bring donations to the parish by Friday, 3rd July. - Fun Games: Sign up for fun games (adults and children). See the posters and speak with ticket sellers at the back of the church for additional details. - Gazebo: If you can loan or donate a gazebo/sun-umbrella /garden chairs, please speak with the brothers - Volunteers: We require volunteers to help throughout the day to help with various tasks such as setting up, refreshments, games, tidying up. If you can volunteer for a short time, please leave your details with one of the Friars or contact the Parish office. - Entrance: Access will be via Carlton Road/Friary Gate ONLY. Parking is available in the Angelus Centre car park, but entry to the BBQ from carpark will NOT be possible. - Parking: There will be NO parking in front of the Friary on the day of the BBQ, except for Blue Badge holders. - Please bring: Sun cream, hats, folding chairs or picnic blankets. The Angelus Centre chairs are for indoor use only. You are also welcome to bring reusable takeaway containers for any extra food purchased. - Musicians and Singers Wanted: If you would like to perform on the day, please contact the Parish Office or the Social Team. - Safeguarding: Children must be always accompanied by a responsible adult, especially when using the toilet facilities in the Angelus Centre.
